해결방법이 따로 있을줄 알았으나, MS KB 및 구글형이 알려준바에 의하면..
특정 DVD Writer 나 ROM 의 펌웨어 문제로 인하여 가끔 문제가 발생한다고 한다.
MS 에서는 주로 삼성 제품중 몇가지 예를 들었으나, 본인이 설치시에 사용한 ROM은 LG 제품이였다..
정확한 모델명은 귀찮아서 패스..
어찌되었건, 검색결과 발생하는 에러코드는 조금씩 달랐으나, 핵심은 결국 DVD ROM -_-;;
이럴때는 하드디스크에 이미지 복사후 사용하란다.. 아놔..
물론, 그전에 Windows를 설치하였을 경우에야.. 여유 파티션에 Vista 설치 DVD의 내용을 모두 카피하고 윈도우상에서 실행을 하면 되지만.. 이번 경우는, PC를 새로 맞춘 후에 DVD 인스톨을 한거였기 때문에, 대략 난감한 상태..
여러 여건을 고려한 결과, 하드웨어를 분리해서 DVD 롬 펌웨어 업그레이드 하는 시간 보다는..
그냥 XP를 새로 설치하고, 다른 파티션에 Vista 설치 파일 복사후, 윈도우 상태에서 Setup 하는 방법을 택했다.

XP works with 4gb, but it does not show the full ‘4′.. apparently, with that
much installed, it takes some for ’system’ memory, but just doesn’t tell you
that.. even if it showed the full ‘4′, it would still allocate the way it
does, so nothing lost.. most get a shown total of 3.?Gb..

What Jim said is largely correct. With a 4GB address space, the
OS gets the top 2 GB, the app gets the lower 2GB. Also, as Jim
said, the more physical RAM the better.
Yes, the /3GB switch can be added to boot.ini. This forces the
OS into the upper 1GB and gives the app 3GB. This is not always
a wise thing to do because the OS has less room for caching, for
all apps. But, in any case, any app that wants to use the 3GB
must have the LARGEADDRESSAWARE flag set in the EXE header. You
can Google for this to get more info.
